Nagdal Lake Trek

Itineraries
Day 01
Time : 11:30 am
McLeod Ganj to Triund (2,875m)
- Start the trek from McLeod Ganj in the morning
- Gradual ascent through dense oak and rhododendron forests
- Pass scenic viewpoints like Dharamkot and Magic View Café
- Reach Triund by afternoon and camp with stunning views of the Dhauladhar range

🏕️ Overnight: Campsite at Triund
Day 02
Time : 9:30 am
Triund to Lahesh Cave (3,500m)
- After breakfast, continue trek toward Lahesh Cave
- Cross the Snowline Café and walk through rocky and boulder-filled terrain
- Reach the natural rock shelter of Lahesh Cave by afternoon
- Acclimatization and rest near the cave for the night

🏕️ Overnight: Camping near Lahesh Cave
Day 03
Time : 9:30 am
Lahesh Cave – Nagdal Lake – Laka Glacier (3,300m)
- Early morning start towards Nagdal Lake through high-altitude terrain
- Cross Indrahar Pass trail sections and descend toward the mystical Nagdal Lake
- After spending peaceful moments at the glacial lake, descend and trek to Laka Glacier
- Camp at Laka Glacier under a starlit sky

Day 04
Time : 8:30 am
Laka Glacier to Bhagsunag – Drive to McLeod Ganj

- Pass through Karthani and descend to Bhagsunag waterfall
- End the trek at Bhagsunag temple area
- Optional transfer to McLeod Ganj

The trek is considered moderate. It involves gradual ascents through forests and rocky terrain, with some steep sections, especially near Lahesh Cave and Nagdal Lake. Basic fitness and prior trekking experience are helpful but not mandatory.
The best time is from May to June and September to mid-November. During these months, the weather is clear, and the lake is accessible. Avoid monsoon season due to slippery trails and landslide risks.
Yes, we provide tents, sleeping bags, mattresses, and other essential camping equipment. All gear is cleaned and well-maintained for your safety and comfort.
You’ll need to carry a daypack with essentials (water, snacks, jacket, etc.). If you want a porter to carry your main backpack, it can be arranged at an additional cost.
Nagdal Lake is located at an altitude of approximately 4,350 meters (14,595 feet) above sea level, making acclimatization and hydration important.

Mobile network is available in McLeod Ganj and partly up to Triund. Beyond that, there is limited to no connectivity, which makes it a perfect digital detox.
