Trek & tour cancellation charges
If you cancel your Dharamsala Treks booking, the refund depends on how far in advance you cancel. The following percentages apply to the total amount.

If we cancel your trek or tour
In rare cases, weather conditions, government restrictions or unforeseen circumstances may require us to cancel a trip. If Dharamsala Treks cancels your trip, you will be offered one of the following:
- A full refund; or
- The option to reschedule or transfer your booking to a future date or another trek.
Separately booked travel costs
We are not responsible for flight, train or travel costs that were not booked directly with us.

Speak to our booking team
To cancel or modify your booking, email or call us with your booking details. Include the trek or tour name, departure date and your request so the team can identify the booking.

How your refund is processed
Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days. All refunds are processed through the original payment method: the bank account, UPI or card used when you booked.

Common booking questions
How much is refunded if I cancel more than 15 days before departure?
You receive a 90% refund of the total amount. The remaining 10% is retained as an administrative fee.
What happens if I cancel 7 to 15 days before departure?
The refund is 50% of the total amount. Cancellations less than 7 days before departure, no-shows and same-day cancellations receive no refund.
Can I reschedule my trek instead of cancelling?
Requests made more than 10 days before the trek can be accommodated free of charge, subject to availability. Requests within 10 days of departure may incur an additional fee of ₹1,000 per person.
What happens if Dharamsala Treks cancels my trip?
You will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule or transfer your booking to a future date or another trek. Flight, train and travel costs not booked directly with us are not covered.
How long does a refund take, and where is it sent?
Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days through the original bank account, UPI or card used at the time of booking.
