The Kareri Lake Trek is a popular trekking route located in the Himachal Pradesh region of India. The trek starts from the village of Kareri and traverses through lush green forests, serene meadows, and breathtaking landscapes. Day 1 Â DHARAMSALA
Arriving in Dharamsala early morning, we then transfer Hotel – the spiritual home of his Holiness the Dalai Lama. There we will be some free time today to explore this fascinating town, before we meet later in the evening for dinner and a briefing for the start of our Trek tomorrow.
DAY 2: MCLEOD GANJ TO KARERI VILLAGE
the trek is goes through the pine forests and crosses several tribal villages on the way. Kareri is a Gaddi tribal village. Overnight in Tents.
DAY 3: KARERI VILLAGE TO KARERI LAKE
Trail goes through mixed forests of oak, rhododendron and pine. First 2 Km is a level walk and then there is sleep ascent along Kareri Nullah Stream which has to be crossed over a number of times over improvised wooden bridges. Overnight in Tent
DAY 4: KARERI LAKE TO KARERI VILLAGE
After a short from the lake is a steep descent through the will came back to Kareri Village. Over night stay at Kareri Village.
DAY 5: KARERI VILLAGE TO MCLEOD GANJ
this will be the last day of the Tour. Early in the morning after having breakfast the group will leave back for Mcleodganj.
Day 6:Â DHARAMSALA - HOMEÂ
We have a free morning to further explore this magical town – why not visit the Tibetan market or take a visit to one of the majestic monasteries. In the afternoon, we take the transfer back to Pathankot train station, Bus Stand or Dharamsala Airport.
- 2 nights at Hotel Mcleod ganj with Breakfast & Lunch and Dinner.
- 3 nights at tent with Breakfast & Lunch and Dinner.
