Itineraries

Day 01/Chandigarh – Shimla (120 KM/Approx 3-4 hrs drive).

ARRIVAL TRANSFER ONLY

Assistance on arrival at Chandigarh railway station/airport by our driver. Later drive to Shimla. On arrival at Shimla check in hotel. Shimla is the capital of Himachal Pradesh & former summer capital of British Raj known as queen of hills, which offer some of the most beautiful view of Himalayas. Overnight stay in hotel at Shimla.

Day 02/: Shimla - Sarahan (170 KM/Approx 6 hrs drive)

Your Plan

After breakfast drive to Sarahan, a small village at the boarder of Shimla and Kinnaur districts of Himachal Pradesh with the drive thick cedar forest of Narkanda from where we descend down to Rampur and Sarahan. Check in hotel at Sarahan. Evening visit the famous Bhimakali temple in Sarahan. From here one can have superb view of Shrikhand Mahadev Peak. Overnight stay in hotel at Sarahan.

Day 03/Sarahan – Sangla (90 KM/Approx 3 hrs drive)

This day you enter into Sangla-Baspa Valley, one of the most beautiful and hidden valleys in Kinnaur valley with the drive on old Hindustan-Tibet road along with Satluj River we take a side road from Karcham to enter into this hidden valley Sangla. Check in hotel in Sangla. Overnight stay in hotel at Sangla.

Day 04/In Sangla - Chitukul - Sangla Excursion

Your Plan

After breakfast drive to Chitkul last village on indo-Chinese border. Walk inside Chitkul village. Later drive back to Sangla. Afternoon visit Kamru Fort temple above Sangla village. Overnight stay in hotel at Sangla.

Day 05/Sangla – Kalpa (40 KM/Approx 2 hrs drive)

After breakfast drive from Sangla to Kalpa from here one can have the most beautiful view of the holy Kinner-Kailash Mountain. Arrive Kalpa and check in hotel. Later proceed to visit Suicide Point, Rogi Village, Monastery and Narayan-Nagini Temple. Overnight stay in hotel at Kalpa.

Day 06/Kalpa – Nako – Tabo (160 KM/Approx 7 hrs drive)

Today you will notice a dramatic change in the landscape as you enter from Kinnaur valey to Spiti valley-the green Kinnaur valley is suddenly replaced by dry dessert of Spiti valley. You drive along Satluj River to Khab where Spiti River meets the Satluj. From Khab it is uphill drive on a zigzag road to Nako village. After visiting famous Nako Lake and Nako Monastry drive towards Tabo village, upon arrival at Tabo check in hotel. Evening /Morning visit more than 1000 years’ old Tabo monastery (Established in 996 CE) which houses the ancient scriptures and ancient thangka paintings. Overnight stay in hotel at Tabo.

Day 07/Tabo – Dhankar – Kaza (70 KM/Approx 3 drive)

Leave after breakfast and you spend the whole day on the road making some side excursions to visit the remote villages and monasteries. Dhankar monastery is situated on top of a hill and is approachable by a small mountain road. Arrive Kaza and check in hotel, later visit:

Key Monastery: The history of the Key Monastery dates back to the 11th century. It is believed that this monastery was constructed by Dromton. The monastery has experienced attacks by the Mongols even before the fifth Dalai Lama visited there. The Dogra army also attacked and devastated the monastery in 1841. Further, it got damaged when an earthquake hit the region in 1975. Over the years, the monastery has had a number of renovations which has made it the structure it is today.

Kibber Village: This beautiful village is located in a cold desert, with nothing but scenic mountains, barren landscape, and green meadows all around. There is an incredible river gorge below the Chicham Bridge which is a feast for the eyes. The clean atmosphere and clear skies at Kibber is a treat for star-watchers and photographers. Kibber has Tibetan-style homes with stone and adobe bricks. The locals of Kibber mainly depend on agriculture, weaving, animal husbandry and tourism for their livelihood

Chicham Bridge: Completed in 2017, the Chicham Bridge is India's highest road span crossing approximately 150 meters above a tributary of the River Spiti in the Himachal Pradesh region. Chicham Bridge is also touted as the "world's highest bridge" which is a partial truth as the deck is in fact located 13,596 feet / 4,145 meters above sea level even if the deck height is not the highest. Overnight stay in hotel at Kaza.

Day 08/In Kaza local sightseeing

This day you will make a side excursion to visit Langza, Komic & Hikkim:

Langza: This village is also known for being rich in fossil commonly known as the fossil village several ancient fossils have been found here that villagers keep showing and even selling to tourists.

Komic: Apart from its natural beauty; Tangyud Monastery, built like a fortified castle on the edge of a deep canyon overlooking the town of Kaza, is the primary attraction of Komik. This monastery is considered to be over 500 years old and one of the highest altitude gompas in India.

Hikkim: Village is located at an elevation of 4,400 meters (14,400 ft). It is just a small village, only a handful of houses, and is best known for its post office. The post office here came into existence on November 5, 1983, and now is famed as the world’s highest post office. While this claim is not really true, it can definitely be put ‘among the highest post offices in the world’. It has now become the Hikkim’s prime attraction. Overnight stay in hotel at Kaza.

Day 09/Kaza – Kunzum Pass (4500 M) Atal Tiunnel – Solanga Valley – Manali (200 KM/Approx 8 hrs drive)

Morning after breakfast drive from Kaza to Manali, what makes the journey fun filled is the spectacular scenery while traversing through the circuitous roads. On arrival, check-in to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at your own leisure; Manali is located in the ancient Kullu valley and is surrounded by towering peaks at an arm's length. Overnight stay in hotel at Manali.

Ps: Chandertal Lake visit depends weather and road condition with extra cab cost if required to visit

Day 10/Manali Local City Tour

Your Plan

Morning after breakfast go for Manali city tour visiting Hadimba Devi Temple, Club House, Tibetan Monastery and Vashisht Village, Van Vihar. In evening free to stroll on Mall Road. Overnight stay in hotel at Manali.

Day 11/Manali – Chandigarh Drop (310 KM/Approx 10 hrs drive)

Morning after early breakfast check out from hotel and drive towards Chandigarh hotel/railway station/airport for your onward destination.
