BEFORE YOUR DHARAMSHALA CULTURAL TOUR

Dharamshala sightseeing tour FAQs.

How long is this Dharamshala cultural tour?

The package is four days and three nights, combining McLeod Ganj landmarks, Tibetan cultural sites, Kangra Valley sightseeing and a choice of walking day.

Is the Triund trek compulsory?

No. The itinerary offers a shorter Galu Temple walk or a Triund day hike. Tell the team your walking experience and preferences, and agree the route in advance. Other changes require an agreed revised plan.

How long is the walking day?

The listed Galu Temple plan estimates two to three hours return, depending on the trailhead. Triund is a longer return mountain hike. Confirm the exact start point, total distance and full ascent-and-descent timing with your guide; do not plan both options as equally short walks.

Are all three nights in hotels?

Yes. The itinerary lists hotel accommodation for three nights, with stays in McLeod Ganj and possibly Dharamkot. Confirm the named deluxe hotel, room type, sharing and facilities. An overnight camp is not part of this plan.

Which meals are included?

Breakfast is included with the hotel stay. Lunch and dinner are excluded, including any packed lunch for the walking day. Additional meals may be arranged on request with separate confirmation.

Are local pickup and drop-off included?

Yes. The listed package includes pickup and drop-off in Dharamshala, with bus stand or airport options in the itinerary. Confirm the exact point and arrival and departure times. Airfare and train tickets to reach the region are excluded.

Are guides, entry fees and permits included?

The inclusion list covers a professional guide for heritage walks and treks, local sightseeing by private vehicle, and entry fees and permits. Agree the exact sites and services covered, especially if you add or change activities.

Are cooking classes, meditation and Kangra Fort included?

These appear as optional choices in the itinerary. Optional activities are excluded. Confirm availability, access, timing and any additional arrangements before adding them; a sightseeing visit does not guarantee participation in a meditation programme.

Can families or travellers who prefer less walking join?

Discuss your group’s needs with the team. The shorter walk and cultural visits provide flexibility, while the Triund choice is more demanding. Share mobility needs and walking preferences before the team confirms the route and hotel.

How do I plan dates and enquire?

Use the enquiry form, WhatsApp or phone links. Share your dates, group size, arrival and departure points, hotel preferences and choice of walking day. Ask about current weather, site access and a packing list for your dates.
