BEFORE YOUR MCLEOD GANJ & TRIUND HOLIDAY
Dharamshala four-day tour FAQs.
How long is this Dharamshala tour package?
The itinerary is four days and three nights, with hotel stays in McLeod Ganj, local sightseeing, a guided Triund return hike and a Kangra Valley day tour.
Does the Triund trek include an overnight camp?
No. Day two is a return day hike, followed by a hotel night in McLeod Ganj. All three listed nights are hotel stays; camping gear and an overnight Triund camp are not part of this itinerary.
How demanding is the Triund day hike?
The listed route is around nine kilometres each way, or roughly 18 kilometres return. The ascent estimate is four to five hours, and descent takes additional time. Discuss your fitness, walking experience, trail conditions and turnaround time with the team before choosing this day.
Can I replace the Triund trek?
Yes, a revised day with Bir Billing paragliding or meditation can be requested. Paragliding is excluded, and transport, activity arrangements and any alternative services must be confirmed separately. An easier sightseeing alternative can also be discussed.
Which meals are included?
Daily breakfast is included. Lunches and dinners are excluded, including the lunch stop on the Triund day. Confirm early breakfast arrangements and dietary needs with the team.
Are hotels and sightseeing transport included?
Three nights of accommodation with standard or deluxe options and sightseeing by private cab are listed inclusions. Confirm the named hotel, room sharing, facilities, vehicle and exact local transfers in your booking confirmation.
Are permits and entry fees included?
The existing package includes forest permits, entry fees and applicable taxes. Confirm which listed visits and trek permissions are covered for your chosen dates, particularly if you change the route or activities.
Is travel to Dharamshala included?
No. Transport to and from Dharamshala is excluded, though it can be arranged separately. Share your airport, station or bus arrival details and confirm any pickup or onward transfer before booking.
Can families or travellers who prefer less walking join?
Discuss your group’s ages, mobility needs and walking preferences before booking. The Triund return hike is a full walking day; ask for an agreed alternative if it does not suit your group. Sightseeing can also involve steps and uneven paths.
What should I pack and how do I enquire?
Bring comfortable walking shoes, layers, rain protection, a daypack, sun protection and a reusable water bottle. Ask the team for a date-specific packing list. Use the enquiry form, WhatsApp or phone links and share your dates, group size, hotel preference and whether you want the Triund hike.
